The Form Template Builder is where you design the form itself. You choose the fields people will see, decide which questions are required, and set the behavior for how the form should work when it is submitted.
Open Forms > Templates, then create a new template or edit an existing one. The builder opens with the form canvas on one side and settings for the selected field on the other.
The current builder supports a small set of field types so you can keep forms simple and easy to complete.
You can mark fields as required, add help text, set default values, and use a validation pattern when a field needs to match a specific format. Choice fields can also be configured with a list of options, and file fields can be used when a responder needs to upload something.
A form can be public, assigned through a ticket, or limited to signed-in contacts. You can also decide whether new contacts may be created during submission or whether only existing contacts can use the form.
If your team allows it, a form can also be used to create a ticket automatically. In that case, the ticket defaults you set in the builder will be applied when the form is submitted.
The builder is where you control the quality of the form experience. Clear field names, simple layouts, and sensible ticket defaults make the form easier to complete and easier for your team to process afterward.
