Account Settings is where you manage your personal profile, sign-in details, verification status, notification preferences, and signature behavior in KDesk. It is the place to keep your member account up to date and to control how you receive updates.
Open Account Settings from the main navigation. The page is split into tabs for Profile, Security, and Team Related.
Use the Profile tab to update your name, display name, and backup email. Your display name is the name other people may see on tickets and comments.
The Security tab is where you manage your account email, email verification, password reset, and linked sign-in methods. If you change your account email, KDesk will ask you to verify the new address before you can continue using it for sign-in.
If your account is not verified, KDesk may limit access until verification is complete. The page shows your current verification state and lets you send a new verification email when needed.
You can also request a password reset from this tab. If your account uses Microsoft or Google sign-in, KDesk shows linked login options here as well so you can connect or disconnect them when allowed.
The Team Related tab controls notification preferences and signature behavior for the team you currently have selected. This is where you decide what updates you want to receive and how your comments should appear in that workspace.
You can choose which events should send you email updates, such as new tickets, ticket updates, new comments, ticket assignments, and form assignments. You can also set a notification email for the selected team if your workspace allows a separate address.
Some teams restrict notification email domains. If your team uses that rule, KDesk will only accept notification addresses from allowed domains.
KDesk supports personal signatures and team-managed signatures. If the workspace allows personal signatures, you can add your own signature text for comments. If the team requires a company signature, KDesk disables personal editing and uses the team version instead.
Signature settings affect how your internal comments appear to the rest of the team. If a team signature is required, use the template your workspace provides so your comments stay consistent.
Verification confirms that your account email is valid and that you can receive account messages. KDesk may ask you to verify a new email address after you update it. If verification is pending, check your inbox and complete the verification step before trying to use the new address for sign-in or account recovery.
If you no longer need the member login, Account Settings also includes the option to delete the account. Deleting the account removes the member login from the workspace, so use it only when you are sure the account should no longer be active.
