This article explains how billing currently works in KDesk, where to manage it, and which team settings can affect billing-related values so you can avoid unexpected changes.
KDesk uses Stripe for billing management. In the KDesk app, open Team Settings, switch to the Billing tab, and click Manage billing information to open the billing portal for invoices, payment methods, and other billing actions.
To access billing controls, your account needs billing access. In the current app, the Team Settings menu is shown to account owners and to members with Modify team settings or Modify billing. The billing controls themselves require Modify billing or account-owner access.
The Billing tab in Team Settings shows the billing contact and the current billing-related values that KDesk exposes in the app.
KDesk no longer presents raw storage usage as the main billing value in the Team Settings billing screen. The current billing screen focuses on Seats and Archive billing years.
The billing tab itself is mostly informational, but the Automation tab includes retention settings that affect archive billing behavior.
In the current KDesk UI, the retention threshold defaults to 3 years. The page also states that automatic deletion uses this same threshold and can lower Archive billing years after old tickets are purged.
The current frontend confirms that KDesk billing is tied to Stripe, and that the app surfaces Seats and Archive billing years as the two billing-related values shown in Team Settings. The older wording about a direct per-GB storage charge is no longer reflected in the current billing UI.
Because pricing rules themselves are not displayed in detail inside the frontend, the safest place to review active charges, invoices, payment methods, and subscription changes is the Stripe billing portal opened from Manage billing information.
The billing email is set when the team is created and can be updated later from Team Settings > Billing. KDesk describes this address as the destination for invoices and subscription changes.
The current KDesk app does not expose a setting to change invoice cadence from inside Team Settings. If your organization needs billing changes that are not available in the billing portal or billing tab, use your normal Seraphex support channel.
In the current app, cancellation is handled by deleting the team. The Delete team action appears at the bottom of Team Settings for account owners only.
KDesk shows a confirmation warning before deletion: This cannot be undone, and all workspace data and access tied to the team will be removed. Only proceed if you are sure you want to permanently remove the workspace.
